This week, the Holt CP School community gathered for a very special and emotional Leavers’ Service to celebrate the careers of Mrs Hancock and Alison, two much-loved members of staff who have dedicated so many years to teaching, supporting and inspiring generations of pupils.
The service was attended by past and present pupils, parents, staff and governors, all coming together to recognise the enormous contribution that both Mrs Hancock and Alison have made to our school community. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on their achievements, share treasured memories and celebrate the positive impact they have had on so many lives.
The children were fantastic throughout the service, performing a selection of heartfelt songs that brought both smiles and tears to those in attendance. The music perfectly captured the appreciation, affection and gratitude felt by everyone present and made the occasion even more memorable. It was especially lovely to welcome back former pupils, whose presence was a testament to the lasting impact Mrs Hancock and Alison have had over the years. Seeing so many familiar faces return to celebrate the occasion made the day even more special.
While there was much laughter and happiness, there was also a sense that this truly marks the end of an era for Holt CP School. Mrs Hancock and Alison leave behind an incredible legacy of kindness, dedication and commitment, and they will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the privilege of working with or learning from them.
We would like to thank Mrs Hancock and Alison for everything they have done for our school and wish them both every happiness in the future.

A huge thank you from Mrs Hancock and Alison to everyone who came to our leavers’ service today. The children were amazing and we can’t thank the staff enough for all their hard work to get this prepared – although it will be nice to be able to walk into a room and not be sent out!!
It was so lovely to see so many parents – past and present – giving their time up to join us. We were also made up to see so many past pupils coming back and reminding us how proud we are of you all.
The next few days will be emotional and the end of an era, but today was a very special day. Thank you for all our gifts too. We feel very spoilt. Thank you xx ❤️
